Also done while power marathoning L&O SVU Season 1. We had a sale where I work; the sale was on the 64ct boxes of Crayola Crayons. WIth my typical overkill, I bought like 7 boxes, and now I realize I should probably do somthing with them. I took a huge roll of brown craft/postal paper and whacked it into odd shaped, uneven pieces upon which to waste time and material. I think the end result is okay. The problem with Crayola crayons, is depending on the colour/intensity of the crayon, there might not be a lot of pigment in the wax, so some are next to useless even on light coloured paper, and some of them have the dynamic punch of oil pastels. Must infuriating!
